Research Projects
This research was commissioned by The Opt Institute to better understand perceptions and expectations related to adoption in the United States.
The purpose of this study was to better understand birth parents: Who they are, their pre- and post-adoption experiences, the factors that led toward satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their adoption decisions, and more. This report was made by possible by NCFA, BraveLove, and the Opt Institute.
This research was commissioned by The Opt Institute to understand the perception of adoption among Americans.
The Opt Institute financed NCFA to update private infant adoption counts for 2019 & 2020. There had not been a count done since 2014 and the Federal Government quit counting in 1975.
